Conveniently located just 6km east of the Adelaide CBD (approximately a 10-minute drive), the Payneham Bowling Club is one of South Australia’s largest and most welcoming lawn bowling clubs
Proudly known as “A City Club with a Country Feel”, we wlcome everyone, regardless of age, experience or background. Whether you’re visiting for a game of bowls, a function, or simply a drink with friends, you’ll always be greeted with a friendly smile.
Our Facilities
The Payneham Bowling Club offers excellent facilities for members and visitors, including:
- Three high-quality carpet bowling greens
- A spacious function room available for hire
- A fully equipped commercial kitchen
- A licensed bar
- End Shelters and club amenities
- Ample onsite parking
The Payneham Panthers
With more than 200 members, the Payneham Bowling Club is home to the Payneham Panthers, proudly competing in the Metropolitan Pennant Competition each season.
Our Teams complete across multiple divisions in
- Wednesday Men’s Pennants
- Thursday Ladies’ Pennants
- Saturday Mixed Gender Pennants

The Payneham Bowling Club is a popular venue for private celebrations, community groups and corporate functions throughout the year.
Our summer calendar is particularly popular, with bookings filling quickly. If you’re planning a function during the warmer months, we recommend booking early to secure your preferred date.
